Samuel was sitting there peaceable when the major came up and talked to the other two. Then he introduced himself to samuel. As was protocal in the military when his squad leader stood to salute the major Samuel to stood at attention and saluted as well. Before he was able to introduce himself Chris spoke up.
Wilson directed Samuel to stand and give a proper welcome to a superior officer. Samuel may have been the rook but this wasn't his first rodeo. Samuel remembered on the Hephaestus snapping to attention and introducing. OFFICER ON DECK! the first time his CAG walked in because his wing's lead told him to. Even at the time Samuel knew that he didn't need to but he was still green around the ears and a superior told him to do something. This case was a little different. Samuel may not be a shadowhawk yet but he proved himself worth of the title just the night before.
As for Chris' request Samuel got to his feet and extended his arm.
"Lt Jg Samuel Lion, Its a pleasure to meet you sir." He said to them he had just started to sit down before Wilson decided to make up a little lie about Samuel's view of the Major's marines. Samuel just shook his head and looked at major Davis and said. " Ya Chris couldn't believe that i said i was sure your men where respectful professionals. All he could say is na there Jar heads."
Samuel dead panned. If the Major and striker weren't friends Samuel would surely get hell for his comment but if they where it would be OK.
Shortly after Samuel's quip about Wilson it became very very clear that they where friendly. Striker started to ask Davis about his home life and his family. Marines and pilots didn't traditionally get along. Samuel could careless either way but it made for some fun nights to just play into the stereotype.
