Description: The Hyperion is a Titan Class Battlestar, the newest model of Battlestar and the only one of it's class. The vessel was just starting it's shake-down cruise when the Cylon attack occurred. The computer systems were not yet networked at the time of the surprise attack so the ship's defenses were not completely knocked offline when the Cylon virus struck. The Hyperion is more heavily armed and armored than any other Battlestar in the Colonial Fleet and was specifically designed for long duration missions along the Red Line.

The extreme curvature of the environment can be somewhat disorienting at times (think of this like the Halos in Halo or the Presidium in Mass Effect).

This particular hauler has been converted for use as a military training platform primarily for new recruits but also as a refresher for veteran soldiers. The interior has been converted to mimic that of a planetside training course for mock battles and tactical drills. Troops may spend a few hours or even a few days on training assignment for those things that can not be taught in the shooting ranges or gyms of the other ships.
