My $.02. Forgive me if it's a little harsh, but it's the truth and I honestly want to help you out and get you involved with the community.

Cent #1) The thread you made wasn't very accessible at all. You have Spike alone in his quarters. Why would someone come in to interact with him? He's a new character with just about zero connections so no one would be just "stopping in" to say hi. Your only potential audience is someone you room with coming in or someone from your squadron (50% chance they also room with you). It's unfortunate that some of our pilots are less than active, but on top of that, you're unfortunately in the most inactive squadron. Therefore, just by setting it up that way you were just about destined to have zero responses.

For a new character, I'd suggest to have a thread in a very public area that is accessible by all types of people rather than just a specific type of character (i.e. pilots in your squadron). It's not that people hate your writing or were purposely ignoring you or anything. It's just that your thread wasn't accessible for them to join.
